Power in the Blood of Jesus

When I was growing up, preaching in the Church on the Power of the Blood of Jesus was common ground. It was spoken of, humbly celebrated, and sang of often......

"What can wash away my sin, nothing but the Blood of Jesus! 🎶 ❣️

"There is power, power wonder-working power, in the Blood of the Lamb" 🎶 ❣️

Unfortunately, today, it doesn't seem to be that way. It's quite shameful if I'm being honest!

As we are drawing close to the day of remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus, it seems to be the perfect time to reiterate and acknowledge that amazing power, the power of His very Blood. Because without that Blood, His Blood, the life-giving Blood of Jesus, the Messiah, there is NO forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22)

"We must always uphold the great Biblical truth that we can only experience forgiveness through the shed Blood of Christ."

Life is in the Blood!

Leviticus 17:11

For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have appointed it to you to make atonement on the altar for your lives since it is the lifeblood that makes the atonement.

"The blood of goats and bulls was a temporary solution under the old covenant. The blood of these sacrificial animals had to be shed again and again to accomplish forgiveness. However, when Jesus Christ came, He shed His blood once and for all."

Do you see now that it's the shedding of Jesus' Blood, the Perfect Lamb of God we remember and drop down to our knees in unending gratitude? His Blood began the New Covenant, a new and forever Way ( He is the Way) of approaching the very Throne of God. Jesus offered Himself as a single sacrifice for our sins, good for ALL TIME. (Hebrews 10:11) Hallelujah!

So, this Friday, while a somber day indeed, remember Jesus, full of love, grace, mercy, and obedience to the Father, agreed to shed His powerful, life-giving Blood for you and me!

And because of HIS Blood......

• We are freed from the power of sin and death

• We are at peace with God

• We are made holy and righteous

• We are no longer slaves to sin

• We are cleansed and purified

• We are made whole

• We are redeemed

• We are renewed

• We are set free

• We have victory

• We are His sons and daughters

ALL BECAUSE OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS!

NOW THAT'S POWERFUL!
